Follow the signs to ground transportation, taxis, limos, hotel shuttles on the third floor of the parking garage. Adults, one way tickets, are $18 and roundtrip is $31; children 17 and under ride free. Departures from airport and downtown Seattle 24-hours day. Leaves airport approximately every 30 minutes. Port: Pier 69. Approximately 0.5 miles from The Westin Seattle. Taxis are available at the Pier 69, the Colman Dock ferry terminal, and at cruise ship terminals. A taxi from Pier 69 to The Westin Seattle is approximately $10. The Downtown Airporter can transport guests in both directions for $12 each way; kids 17 and under ride free. Light Rail: Sound Transit’s Light Link Light Rail runs from downtown to the airport. Cost is $2.50 each way. Time 35 minutes each way.
Major freeways and highways that run through and around Seattle include:
Interstate 5 runs north and south through the center of Seattle.
Interstate 405 runs north and south through Seattle’s eastern suburbs of Bothell, Bellevue and Renton.
Reversible express lanes with limited on/off access on I-5 and I-90 are used during peak commute hours to relieve traffic. Normally, they move traffic toward downtown Seattle during the morning commute and away from Seattle during the afternoon commute.
Interstate 90 begins just south of Safeco Field in Seattle and runs east, connecting I-5 to I-405.
State Route 520 begins just north of downtown Seattle at I-5 and runs east, across the Lake Washington, to Redmond. Washington state now conducts electronic tolling on the State Route 520 Bridge. As all tolling is electronic, it is important for visitors who will take trips across the SR 520 Bridge to know the two methods of payment available to them. State Route 99, a major north-south arterial, parallels I-5 between Everett and Fife.
Directions to the Westin Seattle
From Seattle-Tacoma International Airport: Take Interstate 5 North. Exit at Seneca Street (exit number 165), the exit is on the left side. At the base of the exit, turn right onto 6th Avenue. Continue for approximately 6 blocks and cross over Stewart Street. The hotel valet entrance is located on the left side.
From the East: Take Interstate 90 to I-5 North. Exit onto Madison Street (exit 165A). Turn left at the first light after exiting. Turn right onto 6th Ave. Proceed for 8 blocks down 6th Avenue and cross over Stewart Street. The hotel valet entrance will be located on the left.
From the North: Take Interstate 5 South. Exit at Stewart Street/Denny Way (exit number 166). Continue right onto Stewart Street. Travel approximately 9 blocks. Turn right onto 6th Avenue. The hotel valet entrance will be located on the left.
