First American Corporation to expand operations in India

First Indian Corporation, the Indian arm of First American Corporation announced its plans to further expand and invest in India. The expansion plans include setting up of a new software development center in Hyderabad. They are also looking to grow to 4,200 people with an approximate mix of 500 in software development, 1,000 in call centers and 2,700 in production and back office operations. The company is also evaluating several alternatives for a third facility in the cities of Mysore, Chennai and Mangalore, the plan of which is to be finalised soon.
In addition, First Indian Corporation is currently exploring opportunities with various governmental and private sector groups for the possibility of introduction of products such as Title Insurance and Credit Reporting into the business infrastructure in India.

First American Corporation has had a strong presence in India for almost a decade now. Their endeavors in India include facilities in Bangalore and Hyderabad with close to 2,500 people at all India locations. The Indian arm provides 40 separate functions for multiple First American Companies in the United States.
First Indian Corporation is divided into 3 Operating Divisions: Software Development, Call Center Operations and Production & Back Office Operations. These divisions include a broad range of disciplines such as product development, quality assurance and testing, mainframe operations, inbound and outbound call centers, order, data and image processing, data research and accounting.
