Rep. Oxley Requests GAO Report on Real Estate Marketplace

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Michael G. Oxley (OH) released the following letter requesting a General Accounting Office (GAO) study on the implications of information technology and electronic commerce on the real estate marketplace.

Specifically, Chairman Oxley asked the GAO to consider whether the growth of electronic commerce will lead to better competition and transparency that could benefit consumers.
