C. Scott Logan Named Georgia State Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company

First American Title Insurance Company announced that C. Scott Logan has joined the company as Georgia State Counsel. In this position he will oversee underwriting for transactions throughout the state.

Since devoting his legal practice exclusively to real estate closings in 1986, Logan has facilitated more than 7,500 residential and commercial real estate transactions. His extensive background includes five years as an associate and then partner with Weissman, Nowack, Curry and Wilco, P.C., one of the largest real estate law firms in the state of Georgia. After leaving Weissman, Nowack in 2001, he and a partner started their own firm, Logan & Torres, LLC, which merged with The Fryer Law Firm, P.C., in 2006.

Since 2003, Logan has been actively involved in the Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorneys Association, a voluntary bar association whose membership is comprised of approximately 240 closing attorneys, where he served on the board of directors and as the association’s president. He also serves on the executive committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and frequently lectures on a variety of topics related to real estate closings, title examinations and title insurance.

A graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina, Logan went on to earn his juris doctor from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Ga. He currently resides in Atlanta.
