Two New England States Enact Emergency Amendments to Foreclosure Rules

January 6, 2011

Vermont and New Jersey are the latest states to impose more rigorous standards on foreclosure plaintiffs in response to allegations that fraudulent affidavits may have been employed to prosecute foreclosure proceedings and obtain foreclosure judgments.
