Stewart Title Guaranty Names Regional Underwriting Counsel for Southwest

Stewart Title Guaranty Company announced the appointment of Mark Johnson as vice president and regional underwriting counsel for the Southeast region. In this new position, Johnson will be responsible for enhancing underwriting services in the region.

Johnson has extensive expertise in underwriting residential and commercial transactions with specific expertise in sovereignty lands, bankruptcy and trust and estates issues. Prior to joining Stewart in 1994, he spent two years as a deputy district attorney in Colorado and four years in private practice, representing financial institutions in real property-related matters.

Johnson graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, as well as the Florida Bar and the Florida Land Title Association.
