July 16, 2013

Alliant National Title Insurance Co. recently named Fred Schraub as vice president and underwriting counsel. In his new role, Schraub will assist title agents with their underwriting needs, offering advice and ensuring an understanding of the reasoning behind decisions.

Schraub joins Alliant National after serving as vice president and underwriting counsel for a large national underwriter. He not only provided underwriting support to title insurance agents throughout Texas, but was also hosted monthly webinars for agents and maintained valuable reference materials on that company’s regional website.

Prior to that, Schraub was assistant vice president/underwriting counsel for a regional underwriter where he provided underwriting support throughout that company’s southwest region.

Schraub, a Texas native, grew up in the title business, working at his family’s title company in Seguin, Texas. He also worked with Texas Title Company, a large agency operation, in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating from law school, he went on to spend several years in general civil practice including litigation in San Antonio. Since returning to the title insurance industry, he has used his combined experience to excel in providing sound and supportive client services.

“Fred Schraub is an ideal addition to the Alliant National team,” said Dave Ginger, Alliant National President. “His down-to-earth, helpful approach to underwriting is appreciated by our Independent Agents, and his sharp, analytical skills help resolve issues to come up with solutions.”

Schraub holds a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a juris doctorate from Baylor University School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the San Antonio Bar Association, and is licensed through the state courts of Texas and the United States district court, western district of Texas. Additionally, Schraub is a member of the Texas Land Title Association and the Texas Bar Foundation.
