CFPB Updates Settlement Cost Booklet

January 28, 2014

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau earlier this month made technical updates to the settlement cost booklet, which was initially prepared by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The booklet retained language telling consumers that they should purchase an owner's title insurance policy to provide protection against claims.
