The Docket: Court Rules on Vicarious Liability Case Involving Misconduct of Dual Agent

February 28, 2017

Jeffrey Lang, vice president and national underwriting counsel for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, provided today’s review of a recent decision by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia Atlanta Division that ruled an underwriter could not be held vicariously liable to a lender when a title agent served as dual agent. Read on to learn how this affects closing protection letters.
