CFPB to Update Company Consumer Complaint Portal

March 14, 2017

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) reported that it plans to make enhancements to the Company Portal during the week of April 24.

According to the bureau, these enhancements are designed to make it easier for companies to respond to consumer complaints. An updated Company Portal Manual will be available for use after the enhancements are implemented. The Manual can be found in the Documents tab in the Company Portal Training Center.

The CFPB also said it is consolidating the current 11 complaint forms into a single, dynamic consumer complaint form.  With these complaint form enhancements, the CFPB is making updates to the organization of products and issues.

The bureau will provide more information, including introductory webinars for company users, later this month.  Contact Scott Steckel at Scott.Steckel@cfpb.gov with questions. Companies are encouraged to continue use of the “Submit a Ticket” option on the Help tab of the Company Portal for any current technical issue or complaint-specific question.
