November 9, 2010

Following its announcement that it expanded into South Dakota, Missouri-based Agents National Title Insurance Company (ANTIC) announced it is now licensed to issue title insurance in Wyoming.

Agents National is also licensed to operate in Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri and Mississippi. The company now has more than 120 agents. Nearly $27 million in premium was written in Wyoming in 2009.

To accommodate its growth, Agents National announced the addition of Pierce Curran as the underwriter’s Arkansas agency manager and Brian Blackman to its underwriting staff.

Curran graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Marketing and Management. Prior to joining Agents National, he worked in the title insurance industry in his family’s abstract company and in the oil and gas industry doing mineral rights work. Curran lives in Russellville, Ark., with his wife, Cassie.

Blackman will oversee underwriting for the company’s southern region, focusing on the Arkansas and Mississippi markets. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arkansas State University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law. Blackman brings a broad range of experience in the title industry, including production, search, exam and escrow – both commercial and residential. He is licensed to practice law in Arkansas and Tennessee, and has presented at numerous seminars in multiple states on a variety of real estate related topics. Blackman resides in Memphis, Tenn., with his wife, Amy, and daughter, Emsley.
