New York-Based Title Companies Merge

July 12, 2011

Valley Stream, N.Y.-based Sutton Alliance, a provider of national commercial and residential real estate transaction services, and Riverside Abstract, a provider of title insurance in New York and New Jersey, announced the merger of their companies and the formation of a new organization, Sutton Riverside Alliance.

“I am extremely excited at the opportunity that this alliance affords our companies,” said Shaul C. Greenwald, president and chief operating officer of Sutton Riverside Alliance. “In our continuing quest to service our clients’ title and settlement needs, Sutton Riverside Alliance will maximize our ability to offer the best products with an expanded national footprint,”

With this new development, Sutton Riverside Alliance becomes one of the largest independently owned title insurance agencies in the Northeast, the company said in a release.

“Our new association with Shaul Greenwald and Yoel Zagelbaum of Riverside is very exciting,” said Howard Kopel, chairman and chief Executive officer of Sutton Riverside Alliance. “Excellence in response to client needs fits well with Sutton’s culture, built over our 26-year history. This alliance enhances and maximizes our ability to continue to provide our valued clients with the very best in real estate services nationwide.”
