Shelton, Conn.-based Home-Link Services has filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition, Inman News has learned.

The petition was filed this morning, according to the Clerk's Office of the Bankruptcy Court in New Haven, Conn.

Home-Link helps real estate brokers set up services that coordinate such home-related products and services as moving van lines, utilities, telephone and cable hookups and disconnects, security systems, painting and landscaping services and newspaper delivery. Home-Link's personal move coordinators contact brokerage clients and manage home-related requests before, during and after the move. The coordinator is the link between the client and Home-Link's selection of national, regional and local suppliers, according to the company.

Home-Link has raised $46.6 million in three funding rounds: $12.5 million in late 1999, $25 million in September 2000 and $9.1 million in March of this year, according to company announcements.
