Stewart Global Solutions’ Urban-Karr Appointed to the Texas A&M College of Geosciences Advisory Council

Stewart Global Solutions, a division of Stewart’s PropertyInfo Corp., announced the appointment of executive vice president Jill Urban-Karr to the Texas A&M College of Geosciences Advisory Council. Urban-Karr, with extensive expertise in applied geography in the area of land administration, is one of 14 geosciences experts on the council who are responsible for enhancing the college’s reputation nationally and globally.

The council works to enhance the position of Texas A&M University and the College of Geosciences worldwide as a leader in the industry by highlighting their impact and contributions to current geosciences issues. Council members also work to foster strategic relationships with national and global thought leaders, and expand relationships with industry and government to ensure that graduates are prepared to make critical contributions to realizing the world’s energy and resources future. The council is also responsible for assessing science and technology capabilities and attracting and developing the global leaders of tomorrow.

In her position at Stewart Global Solutions, Urban-Karr works on projects and market development activities in Africa, the Middle East, the Caucuses, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. She has a strong background in land registration, cadastre and real estate market modernization in both the public and private business sectors.

Urban-Karr graduated from Texas A&M University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in geography.
