Realtor.com to become exclusive content provider for MSN House& Home

Inman News

Homestore Inc. today announced that Realtor.com will become the exclusive provider of integrated home listings and Realtor directory content to the House& Home channel on the MSN network. The new multi-year agreement is expected to go live before the end of the first quarter.

By expanding on its existing relationship with MSN, Homestore aims to build the largest online audience for Realtors and their listings. Soon, the 4 million-plus unique visitors that go to MSN House& Home each month will have access to more than 2 million property listings from Realtor.com.

"Today, most consumers are using the Internet as an integral part of their home-search process. In fact, more than 70 percent of all home buyers used the Internet at some point in their search last year," said Mike Long, Homestore’s chief executive officer.

Home listings appearing on Realtor.com will be available to MSN customers. Realtors, brokers and franchises will have the opportunity to secure newly available display advertising positions to present Featured Home, Featured Agent and Featured Company content to MSN users. Homestore will share revenue from these newly available advertising positions with MSN.

Homestore Inc. (NASDAQ: HOMS) provides real estate media and technology services through a network of home and real estate Web sites, including flagship site Realtor.com, the official Web site of the National Association of Realtors; HomeBuilder.com, the official new-homes site of the National Association of Home Builders; Homestore Apartments& Rentals; Senior Housing; and Homestore.com, a home information resource.
