Mason County in Washington recorded its first electronic document through Simplifile’s e-recording service and has made e-recording available to all online document submitters.
“We are excited to begin e-recording in Mason County and look forward to the efficiency and time-saving benefits that come with e-recording for us and our submitters,” said Jill Tullar, Mason County’s auditor office manager.
Simplifile said Mason County will be able to significantly reduce the amount of time it takes for documents to be recorded.
First American Title of Mason County was the first to submit and successfully e-record using Simplifile’s service. The first document e-recorded was a deed of trust.
“We at First American Title of Mason County are excited about this new tool for recording documents for our customers,” said Debbie Metcalf, First American Title of Mason County’s recorder. “The Simplifile e-recording program is simple to use and very user-friendly. Even those with limited experience with technology will find it easy to utilize.”
With Simplifile’s e-recording software, the county receives, reviews and records the documents and returns them within minutes back to the submitters via the Internet.
“New users can start using the service today,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “All they need is a high-speed Internet access and a scanner to begin submitting documents to Mason County through Simplifile. It’s safe, secure, and very simple to use.”
