Texas-based First National Title Adds Underwriting Counsel

March 19, 2013

First National Title Insurance Co. (FNTI) recently added Timothy Redding to its staff as vice president and underwriting counsel. Continuing a 35-year career in the title industry in which he served in a variety of executive underwriting positions, he is excited to add another chapter to his resume.

Redding has been actively involved in the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA), serving on a number of committees as a member and as chairman. He served as president of the TLTA in 1997-1998 and was named Title Person of the Year in 1993—the highest honor given by the Association. Redding is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Redding's experience and knowledge will complement the excellent underwriting support currently provided by Ellen Wied.

"Our goal to serve the independent agent's underwriting needs is greatly enhanced by the addition of Tim,” said Chris Phillips , CEO of FNTI. “His reputation, knowledge of the industry and personal relationships are valuable assets to a start-up operation. One of the most important criteria agents' seek in their choice of underwriters is a philosophy of finding ways to get transactions closed. Tim shares that philosophy and is looking forward to being of service to all the FNTI agents.”

In March 2012, FNTI received a certificate of authority from the Texas Department of Insurance to operate as an insurance underwriter in the state. FNTI is domiciled in Texas.
