Hamilton County Title Acquires Indianapolis Operation

Hamilton National Title LLC recently acquired Indianapolis-based Landmark Title.

Landmark Title was founded in 1990. Its ownership group consists of has established a legacy of real estate brokers Bif Ward and Matt McLaughlin, attorney Jeff Slaughter and title industry executive Patricia Porter. Patrica Porter, Landmark Title’s managing member, has joined Hamilton Title in an executive leadership position commented.

“We are excited to continue to service our client needs under the Hamilton Title umbrella of insurance products, expertise and technology platforms,” she said. “Our employees and the clients they have served will continue to benefit from the legacy of Landmark, while gaining access to increased opportunities at Hamilton Title.”

Hamilton National Title was acquired in July of 2013 by Daniel Fowler, an Indiana native who owns a group of title and escrow businesses in the Midwest.

“It has been such a pleasure to work with many of the leading real estate executives and attorneys in Indiana since acquiring Hamilton last year,” Fowler said. “It is very flattering that the Landmark ownership believed Hamilton Title was so well positioned to service the Indiana marketplace and their current clientele that they chose us above other potential companies vying to purchase their agency. The two companies will centralize their operations at Hamilton National's office in Carmel, Ind.
