WFG National Title Hires FLTA Executive Director

The Florida Land Title Association’s executive director is changing his corporate address, but he will still be working hand in hand with title agents.

Alan Fields has joined WFG National Title Insurance Co. as national agency counsel and will provide underwriting and legal resource for the company’s national title agencies. He will also contribute to the WFG National Title national and Florida underwriting teams.

Fields comes to WFG with 27 years of legal experience. He served as executive director for FLTA since 2010. Previously, he served as Florida state counsel for one of the industry’s largest national underwriters. Before that, Fields served as general counsel and in operational roles for several public and private corporations and in private practice with Dykema Gossett.

Fields received his juris doctorate from Florida State University College of Law, where he was editor in chief of the school’s Law Review, and his undergraduate degree in Economics from Davidson College.

“Alan’s keen insights have led numerous title agents through a maze of legislative and legal challenges,” said Joseph Drum, executive vice president of WFT National Title’s agency division. “His creativity and leadership in today’s times warrant him coming to WFG where he will help its continued alignment with agents.”
