Vendor management company Equity Settlement Services has expanded its offerings to the mortgage lending and origination community with the rollout of a Web-based abstracting platform.

ESSearcher offers mortgage lenders and brokers the ability to execute self-service title services, view document images, abstract information directly and identify parties to property titles in hundreds of counties across the nation.

Through the ESSearcher's platform, users can incorporate comprehensive property searches directly into their own production systems. The company said the platform will deliver an improved turnaround time on title searches in comparison to traditional title searches, and also aims to increase workflow efficiencies and reduce examination errors.

ESSearcher is made available through collaboration with Realty Data Corp., an electronic abstract platform developer.

"Our use of this technology will further streamline workflows and increase efficiencies in the title examination process," said Charles Ferraro, president and CEO of Equity Settlement Services. "We will now be able to pass significant time and cost savings to our clients without sacrificing quality in the title search process."

Equity Settlement Services provides residential and commercial title, closing and appraisal services for customers in more than 30 states.
