WFG Names VP to Grow National Transportation Division

February 17, 2015

WFG National Title Insurance Company named Elizabeth Bobo as vice president of its National Transportation Division.

In her new role, Bobo will spearhead the nationwide expansion of WFG’s National Transportation Division. Her experience in the field has included positions as a commercial escrow assistant, a commercial right-of-way administrator and commercial right-of-way escrow officer.

"Elizabeth has established herself as one of the leading experts on land acquisition, title clearing and settlement services surrounding Right of Way (ROW) and government transportation initiatives,” said Patrick Stone, president and CEO of Williston Financial Group. “Her extensive experience in this unique segment will serve clients in all markets and establish WFG as an industry leader in helping government entities effectively interact with private land owners. Her professionalism will ensure that government entities and private landowners will achieve ownership transfer in a timely manner and with the least amount of disruption possible.”

Before entering the title industry, Bobo worked with a Fort Worth-based mortgage company as an FHA and conventional insuring clerk and quality control agent. Since coming to the title industry in 1980, she has also been a residential escrow officer, managed a national title desk and participated in a national task force for one of the industry’s largest underwriters.

“It takes quite some time to build a transportation division,” Bobo said. “I still remember my early days of working as a one person department. The fact that WFG is able to support a sizable staff so extensively experienced with this unique field speaks volumes to our dedication to this market. Our clients know that this division, a rarity among transportation groups, does absolutely nothing but right-of-way related transactions, and they can be confident that there isn’t a challenge or obstacle we haven’t seen and overcome before.”
