All Massachusetts Counties Now E-record with Simplifile

February 24, 2015

Massachusetts became the sixth state to implement Simplifile’s e-recording services in all of its counties

Through Simplifile’s secure, web-based recording service, customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers and other document submitters have the ability to record documents such as land records with the county online in minutes, saving time and money.

With the addition of Bristol South, all 21 Massachusetts counties have made e-recording available. Middlesex North was the first Massachusetts county to implement e-recording with Simplifile in August 2007.

Massachusetts joins Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii and Delaware in offering e-recording statewide with Simplifile. Nationwide, more than 1,190 recording jurisdictions across 44 states e-record with Simplifile.

“It’s exciting to see another state offer e-recording in 100 percent of its counties, and we are honored to be that provider for all of our customers both locally and nationally who submit documents for recording in Massachusetts,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “E-recording is not only more convenient, but it’s also more secure way to submit documents and payments for recording to the county. It cuts down on paper waste, and it’s a win-win solution for everyone involved in the recording process.”
