FHFA Paid Law Firms $373 Million to Sue Banks: Business of Law

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP and Kasowitz Benson Torres & Friedman LLP were paid $373 million over five years by the Federal Housing Finance Agency to pursue litigation against banks over mortgage-backed securities.

The payments, disclosed by housing regulators Thursday, were made from Jan. 1, 2010, to Feb. 6, 2015.
