Eight land title associations have adopted the Principles of Fair Conduct: Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma and Virginia. All have voted to adopt and support the Principles of Fair Conduct -- part of ALTA's Title Industry Consumer Initiative -- a multi-faceted strategy for improving oversight of the industry and educating and protecting consumers.

These state affiliates will inform their members through newsletters and meetings to help spread the word about the Initiative and Principles of Fair Conduct and encourage members to adopt them in their own title companies.
