LandAmerica Promotes B. Shannon Cobb to Group Senior Vice President - Production Resources

RICHMOND, Va., -- LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: LFG), announced that B. Shannon Cobb has been promoted to Group Senior Vice President - Production Resources, overseeing title production operations for LandAmerica. He is based in Richmond, Virginia.

Cobb has more than 17 years of industry experience and had been serving LandAmerica as Senior Vice President - Production Resources for the Northeast, Southeast and Southwest Regions. Before that, he served as Vice President - Title Operations of the company's LandAmerica OneStop® subsidiary.

Prior to joining LandAmerica in 2001, Cobb worked for two major title insurance companies in Dallas, Texas, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, serving in executive positions of increasing responsibility.

"Shannon is a leader in production workflow innovation, the implementation of automated solutions and outsourcing initiatives that increase capacity and efficiency," said Richard P. Gonzalez, Executive Vice President - Chief Information Officer. "His leadership plays a key role in helping us support LandAmerica employees as they deliver superior service to our customers across the country and beyond."
