Only Two Weeks Left to File Comments on Proposed RESPA Rule

May 29, 2008

The comment period for the RESPA proposal closes on June 12th. Please take the time to file comments on this proposed rule. It could be quite devastating to the title industry, and would definitely change the way you do business. It is quite easy to electronically file comments of any length. Go to the ALTA RESPA Resource Center to see ALTA's comments and a summary of issues, comments by other title companies, a link to the comment submission site, the rule, and HUD's economic analysis.
