Rep. Oxley Calls on FCC to Answer Corporate Accountability Questions

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Michael G. Oxley (OH) today wrote Federal Communications Commission Chairman Michael K. Powell inquiring about FCC practices and procedures in relation to WorldCom and other corporate oversight.

In a letter to Chairman Powell Rep. Oxley wrote, ?Inasmuch as the Worldcom difficulties in the financial marketplace are very much in the forefront of the continuing problems plaguing a number of telecommunications companies of late, I, along with other Members of the Committee have a number of questions that are relevant to the issues at hand.?
