First American Title Insurance Company Chooses iRise to Visualize Business Transaction Systems

September 9, 2008

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — iRise(R), a leading visualization solutions company, has announced that First American Title Insurance Company, a subsidiary of The First American Corporation (NYSE:FAF) and America's largest provider of business information, has chosen iRise to visualize its software applications.

iRise offers a collaborative software platform that enables businesses to quickly visualize and "test market" applications before a single line of code is written. Using iRise, business people can understand what they need and then communicate that knowledge to others using visual models that replicate the exact look, feel and behavior of the final product, taking the guesswork out of application definition. Just as computer-aided design (CAD) tools transformed the automotive, aerospace and semiconductor industries, iRise is now transforming the global business application market.

The iRise tool will be the primary tool used by the title insurance company's information technology department to elicit business and functional requirements, develop product designs and prototypes with internal and external stakeholders and end users.

"There's no question that we will improve the quality of business applications and system enhancements we deliver with iRise," said Jayson Murray, vice president of the Project Fulfillment Group for First American Title Insurance Company. "A picture is worth a thousand words and iRise makes it easier to work with requirements in a visual model, make changes and see those changes reflected in the project vision right away. By having application requirements represented in a visual way, as opposed to in text, that process reduces miscommunication around how an application should look, feel and interact. We look forward to working with iRise to track key metrics down the road, such as reduction in application rework and change requests."

"The competitive nature of the financial services industry has driven a consistent need to innovate," said Emmet B. Keeffe III, chief executive officer and co-founder of iRise. "Companies such as First American Title Insurance Company are leveraging visualization technology to deliver better financial products faster. iRise is excited to be playing a key role in helping our customers deliver incredible products to the market."
