September 11, 2008

BROOKSVILLE, FL – Gulf Coast Title has served the title industry needs of Hernando and surrounding counties for the past 85 years. Stewart Title, who has owned the company for the past two years, announced the name change. Stewart is an international company with more than a century of underwriting expertise, financial strength, innovative technology, superior service and consistent real estate closings.

“We have been a part of the Stewart family for the past two years, and are excited to officially become Stewart Title in our name as well,” said Kent Eppley, division president, Gulf Coast Title. “With an established reputation for superior client service and expertise in the industry, this is a thrilling new change for our company.”

“Although their name has changed, they will continue to offer title policies backed by a title underwriter company which has shown an industry record 33 years of consecutive growth in policyholder’s surplus and reserves,” said Stewart Morris, Jr., President and co-chief executive officer of Stewart Information Services Corp. “This will enable Stewart Title to offer their customers a peace of mind difficult to find in today’s changing market.”
