LandAmerica Expands Responsibilities of James P. Lanzetta, Senior Vice President & Regional Counsel

RICHMOND Va., /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc., (NYSE: LFG - News), a premier provider of real estate transaction services, announces plans to expand the legal responsibilities of James P. Lanzetta, senior vice president and regional counsel in the Livonia, Michigan office.

An experienced industry professional, Lanzetta will now provide support to state and local counsels, underwriters and managers as Midwest regional counsel for the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Dakotas.

Lanzetta began his career in 1980 with Transnation Title (formerly Transamerica) as Michigan state counsel. He was promoted to vice president and Midwest division counsel in 1985, and served as vice president and Midwest regional counsel from 1990 to 1998 for Transnation and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company. In 1998, when Transnation and Commonwealth merged with Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation, creating LandAmerica, the company named Lanzetta senior vice president and regional counsel for Michigan and Ohio.

Lanzetta received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and his juris doctorate from Wayne State University Law School, Detroit.
