More Counties Offer E-recording Option

September 15, 2009

Simplifile announced that Cass County and Burleigh County, N.D., and Clay County, Minn., will officially begin electronically recording land record documents submitted by title companies, abstractors, banks, and attorneys through the Simplifile e-recording service.

The counties are hosting two e-recording kickoff meetings to introduce the public to e-recording. The first kickoff meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriot Conference Center Ballroom – Salon G located at 180 28th Ave. S, in Moorhead, Minn.

The second kickoff meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the City/County Building located at 221 N 5th St., in Bismarck, N.D. Dallen Miner, Simplifile vice president, will be in attendance to demonstrate the system and to conduct a question and answer session.

“We are excited about Electronic Recording,” said Debbie Kroshus, Burleigh County Recorder. “I have been interested in doing this for quite awhile now and look forward to the time and cost savings it will have for my office, the County, and our customers. I am always looking for ways to have the office run more efficiently and I have a great staff that enjoys new challenges and new technology. We are ready to accept documents electronically.”

“Simplifile’s large customer base will increase our volume of e-recording which will produce better efficiency to those document submitters and the county,” said Bonnie Rehder, Clay County Recorder.

“Simplifile is excited to see the acceleration of e-recording in Minnesota and North Dakota and to lead the expansion of e-recording nationwide,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “As the market leader in e-recording, we are driven to make the land record submission and recording process easier, more secure, and cost-effective through the use of leading technology.”

Simplifile also announced the expansion of its Strategic Partner Program and the formation of eight new partnerships. The Simplifile Strategic Partner Program, a national partner network that is vendor neutral, has been expanded to encompass three distinct Alliance Groups‹Market Alliance, Submitting Alliance, and Receiving Alliance. Each Alliance Group provides expense reduction and increased revenue opportunities for partners within every alliance vertical segment.

The first six partners to join the newly expanded Simplifile Strategic Partner Program are Advanced Data Systems, BROWNtech, Computer Arts Inc., Helion Software, Infocon Corporation, KellPro Inc., Professional Document Systems, and Triadic Enterprises.
