Underwriter Taps Industry Veteran

Fidelity National Title announced that Allan Wasserman has been appointed as senior vice president of National Commercial Services. He will be responsible for underwriting and business development for Fidelity’s Major Accounts Division, including commercial default business.

With over 35 years experience in the title and escrow industry, Wasserman spent the last 20 years with Stewart Title in a variety of positions including National Senior Underwriter, California State President, and Western Region Manager. He has authored several training manuals and articles on real estate and title insurance, and is a frequent speaker at seminars and conventions for attorneys, real estate brokers and escrow professionals.

Wasserman earned his BA Degree from San Diego State University in 1975. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Western State University School of Law in San Diego in 1980.

Active in the legal and real estate community, Wasserman has served as Chairman of both the Real Property and Legislative Sections of the San Diego County Bar Association, Chairman to the California’s State Bar Conference of Delegates, and was Past-President of the California Land Title Association. He is an active member of the Geothermal Resource Counsel as well as the American Wind Energy Association. Wasserman is a current member of the San Diego, California and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of Rotary Club 33, SDSU Big 50, and Lambda Alpha, a nationally recognized real estate fraternity.
