Fidelity to Honor ‘Paperless’ Professional

November 24, 2009

Fidelity National Title is accepting nominations for its "Win the Paperless Fight Title Championship" contest at www.WinThePaperlessFight.com through Dec. 31. Open exclusively to real estate professionals, both residential and commercial, the contest invites nominations for those who are demonstrating a commitment to sustainable business practices and making a big impact specifically through the reduction of paper waste. Self-nominations are encouraged.

"Fidelity actively supports sustainability through efforts like Arizona Green Chamber of Commerce membership and our own paperless office environment initiatives. We challenge all local businesses to take a close look at its business practices to see where it can reduce, recycle and reuse. Even minor changes to processes, such as printing all documents double-sided, can reap substantial rewards for the business and the environment. We are honored to launch this contest and excited to hear how those in our industry are making a difference," stated Fidelity Marketing Director Jean Clements."Traditionally, title and real estate companies have been some of the worst offenders when it comes to paper waste, and it is time for a change."

For nomination details on how a local real estate professional can enter the Fidelity WIN THE PAPERLESS FIGHT Title Championship contest, visit www.WinThePaperlessFight.com. The application will require details pertaining to ways in which real estate professionals are implementing sustainable business practices and reducing paper waste. Nominations must be submitted by December 31, 2009. Follow #wpf on Twitter and the Fidelity BIGmouth blog for contest details, deadlines, and tips on reducing paper waste. All winning nominations and honorable mentions will be featured on Fidelity's website and/or blog.

A selection committee will determine all winners, who will be announced in January 2010. First prize will be membership to the Arizona Green Chamber of Commerce, which promotes sustainable business practices and environmental stewardship, and addresses issues such as recycling, waste reduction, energy and water conservation, pollution prevention, and the use of energy-efficient facilities and equipment.
