The purpose and scope of work of this committee is to:

1. Review, from time to time, the ALTA Title Insurance and Settlement Company Best Practices.
2. Recommend revisions to the Best Practices to keep them responsive to the needs of the industry and its customers.
3. Develop tools and guidance to assist the industry in complying with the Best Practices.
4. Confer with representatives of lenders, real estate agents, consumers, and regulators.
