HomeGain picked up on another indicator that more consumers are turning to the Web as the first step in the home buying and selling process.

The company today announced it registered the 3 millionth user of its customized Internet services for buying or selling a home.

"This major milestone validates that our Internet-based services create value for consumers and Realtors," said HomeGain CEO Bruce Schroder. "The continued growth in our base of registered users demonstrates that consumers have a broad-based interest in signing on with a full-service Internet site that can assist them throughout a real estate transaction, from basic research to finding an agent to understanding a local market."

Recent enhancements to HomeGain's consumer offerings include: Home Search Express, a feature that enables consumers to have access to current MLS listings through top-performing real estate agents in the market targeted for home purchase; Home Price Express, which allows consumers to obtain an instant detailed report of comparable home prices and recent sales in a designated zip code, and opt to have an agent in their local area contact them to perform a Comparative Market Analysis; and Home Mortgage Center, which enables consumers to obtain pre-qualification in real time through HomeGain's mortgage partner, Bank of America.

The company matches registrants with a nationwide network of more than 54,000 registered real estate agents representing 3,000 individual real estate brands.

HomeGain provides customized services to consumers using the Internet to sell or buy a home.
