Old Republic Title Insurance Group Announces Leadership Appointments Expanded Roles Designed to Align Leadership with Customer Trends

December 31, 2002

Old Republic Title recently announced two appointments in its leadership team designed to maintain its commitment to implementing innovative strategies and proactively addressing evolving customer needs. Effective immediately, Stephen Wilson, Boston-based president of the Eastern Title Group, will take on additional responsibilities as president of the Central Title Group for the U.S., and Patrick Connor, vice president, based in the Columbus, Ohio area, will assume the role of senior vice president of the company's National Services Group.

Rande Yeager, president and chief executive officer of Old Republic Title, said, "Consistently providing advanced products and services to our customers is our priority, and as title agents and lenders expand their geographical footprint and territories begin to overlap, common leadership is essential. This new leadership structure will enable us to sustain our efforts in addressing the changing needs of our industry while providing the unified direction necessary to better serve our customers."

For the past three years, Wilson was president of eastern title operations. Wilson joined Old Republic Title more than 15 years ago and played a vital role in the development of the northeast territory while serving as senior vice president and northeast regional manager. He later served as the regional vice president for the eastern and southeastern U.S. Wilson has more than 31 years of experience in the title business with companies that include TICOR and Safeco Title Insurance Companies.

"Steve's expanded role broadens our commitment to providing innovative and reliable service to our customers. His prior experience in successfully leading major agency operations and directing market growth by consolidating territorial resources will allow us to move forward responsively and continue to meet and exceed our customers' expectations," added Yeager.

Patrick Connor will oversee the company's National Services Group, which includes its national agency operations; the relocation division; Old Republic Title, Residential Information Services (ORTRIS); OR credit, the credit processing unit; Old Republic Exchange Facilitator Services (OREXCO), the company's exchange division; and Old Republic Site Management Services (ORSITE), the company's one-stop shop for commercial services.

Connor began his career with Old Republic more than 14 years ago as vice president and sales manager of Old Republic Title Agency of Columbus, Inc., a subsidiary of Old Republic. He was later appointed executive vice president and became president of the subsidiary. For the past three years he has served as vice president and division manager for the company's East-Central Agency Group. His industry experience covers more than 23 years and includes service with other companies such as Huntington National Bank.

"Because of his experience with building customer partnerships with many of the business we're offering today, Pat brings a unique leadership quality to the National Services Group. Moving forward, this will be extremely valuable for the group, as well as the company, as our customers move to form strategic partnerships with their key supplier channels," said Yeager.

"I am confident that Steve and Pat will ensure that our new and existing agents and customers are served well, and that both will continue to be a dynamic component in the leadership of this company as they take on their new and expanded roles," concluded Yeager.
