McCone County in Montana recently became the 75th county database to be published using eTitleSearch™, Ultima’s Web portal for publishing title plant information. Ultima’s eTitleSearch customers, title companies and recorders in 12 states, utilize the e-commerce capability of the Internet publishing portal to increase revenue, expand markets and improve customer service.

“Our vision for utilizing eTitleSearch is a means to expand our regional markets and generate higher revenue,” states Chris Bowman of First American Title Co., a recent eTitleSearch client and long-time customer of TitleSearch®, Ultima’s document imaging software for title plants.

Another eTitleSearch customer, Evan Quiros, CEO of Border Title Group, has been utilizing the product since early 2004. Quiros and his staff have been invaluable to the development of eTitleSearch. Border Title’s use of eTitleSearch and their helpful feedback to Ultima’s software engineers have helped improve a product that is both user-friendly and extremely feature-rich. Mr. Quiros states, “We have been using eTitleSearch for 18 months. As with any new technology we were a little skeptical but eTitleSearch and the people at Ultima have exceeded all expectations. We have doubled our online transactions from a year ago.”

eTitleSearch users employ search criteria such as document number, book & page, property address, name and legal description but also utilize advanced searching features such as phone book and hyper-link name searching, range of dates, book and page range, instrument types, SoundEX and initial name matching. Another key feature is Search Manager™ which allows users to reorganize the search results. Preview and phone book features are also available for express searching. Users may then print/save resulting listing.

Neal Morris, Ultima’s director of Internet services, is pleased with the company’s recent milestone. “We anticipate adding two new counties per month in the coming months,” Morris states. “More and more title companies are realizing they are sitting on a gold mine in their own offices. Our software is helping them realize the income potential—and they are improving customer service simultaneously!” eTitleSearch Professional Version Now Available
