The Docket: Maryland High Court Addresses Lien Caused by Declaration for Water and Sewer Assessment

Michael Russo Jr., director of council at the law firm Council Baradel, reviews a recent decision by the Maryland Court of Appeals, which reversed an appellate court’s ruling and found a Declaration of Deferred Water and Sewer Charges could not be considered a lien that took priority as of the date it was recorded.
