ValuAmerica Rebrands as Radian Settlement Services

November 15, 2018

Radian Group Inc. announced that its subsidiary ValuAmerica has been renamed Radian Settlement Services Inc.

“Changing ValuAmerica to Radian Settlement Services is a key next step in Radian’s evolution as a broad spectrum solutions provider to the mortgage and real estate industries,” said Rick Thornberry, Radian CEO. “With every integration, we further strengthen our company and enhance our ability to deliver more of what our customers need to successfully manage and transact risk across the mortgage and real estate spectrum.”

Radian acquired ValuAmerica in 2015. Earlier this year, Radian acquired Entitle Direct, which is licensed as a title insurance underwriter in 40 states. Following that deal, Radian planned to expand ValuAmerica's geographic reach.

“The need for efficiency and the demand for speed has never been greater than it is today in the title industry,” said Eric Ray, senior executive vice president of technology and transaction services. “Through Radian Settlement Services, we are in a unique position to leverage expertise, technology and data across all of our businesses in order to deliver value driven solutions for our customers.”

Radian also operates as a family of companies that includes Radian Guaranty, Radian Reinsurance, Clayton Holdings, Green River Capital, Red Bell Real Estate LLC and Independent Settlement Services.
