  In March 2024, the Biden administration announced a Title Acceptance Pilot, which waives the requirement for lender’s title insurance on certain refinances.   The proposed rule by U.S. Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) will require title and settlement companies nationwide to report information about all-cash residential transactions nationwide involving legal entities and trusts.

My Professional Development

My Professional Development helps title professionals track continuing education, credentials, and licensing in one place. It also connects users to ALTA courses, webinars, and the National Title Professional (NTP) designation to support career growth.

ALTA meeting attendees and students may be eligible for Continuing Education and Continuing Legal Education credits. In order to qualify for credits, participants must meet the requirements for meeting attendance or program completion and requested credit must be from a jurisdiction where the particular program is approved. Manage your title producer/agent and/or attorney licensing information to make sure your credits are recorded with your regulatory authority.
