New York-basedAmerican International Underwriters, the international property-casualty organization of American International Group, has launched a new Web site to provide AIU's commercial clients and risk managers with access to transactional features and local market and industry information.
The Web site can be used for online reporting of commercial, marine and consumer claims, which then are managed by a local AIU claims specialist. Clients in certain areas can purchase coverage online through local e-commerce Web sites.
"This new Web site provides insured (clients) around the world with a central location to obtain policyholder services, online claims and purchasing capabilities and information on AIU's products," said Martin J. Sullivan, AIG EVP of foreign general insurance and president of AIU.
Users can search a directory of AIU's business lines, including crisis management, casualty and risk finance, and find information about countries in AIG's global network.
AIG is an international insurance and financial services organization. Its member companies write insurance products in 130 countries and jurisdictions.
