Stewart Names Mike Davis as Chief Information Officer, Gary Morris as Chief Technology Officer

HOUSTON, /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stewart Information Services Corp. (NYSE: STC - News) has named Mike Davis as chief information officer (CIO). Davis has served since July 2001 as the Stewart chief technology officer (CTO) and will remain as president of Stewart subsidiary Landata Systems, Inc. Gary Morris, vice president, Technical Services division of Landata Systems, will become the new Stewart CTO.
"The CIO position is crucial for the vision and the strategic progress to implement Stewart's mission of enhancing the real estate transaction process," said Stewart Morris Jr., president and co-chief executive officer, Stewart Information Services Corp. "We look to provide or facilitate all of the informational services needed throughout the transaction process by buyers, sellers, real estate agents, commercial brokers, builders, developers, lenders, GSEs and other parties."

Davis brings 14 years of diverse technical experience to this position as CIO. As president of Landata Systems and CTO, Davis spearheaded the development and introduction of Titlelogix.com , which offers a Web portal for title office automation applications and bundled IT services. Davis earned a B.S. in computer science from the University of Houston.
Morris began his IT career 19 years ago as operations manager for a Houston-area multi-line insurance agency. In 1988, he began network and database consulting for a local investment firm, where he later became IT and operations manager. Morris joined Landata Systems in 1997. In his role as vice president, he oversees the data center operations, local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN), training, Titlelogix.com operations, technical product management and help center teams. Morris is a Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Novell® Administrator (CNA).
