Curt A. Caspersen Appointed Chief Operating Officer for First American Title Insurance Company

SANTA ANA, Calif., /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- First American Title Insurance Company today announced that Curt A. Caspersen has been appointed to the position of chief operating officer. In this new position he will work with the company's regional vice presidents, state managers and local managers to ensure the smooth implementation and execution of initiatives designed to improve productivity, enhance service to customers and grow the company's market share.

Caspersen's career with First American began in 1986, when he was hired as a commercial sales representative in Portland, Ore. Two years later he was promoted to sales manager. After relocating to San Francisco, he was named regional sales manager in 1992, vice president and San Francisco County manager in 1993, and national marketing director in 1994. Five years later, Caspersen accepted the position of national sales manager with the mortgage information arm of parent company, The First American Corporation. In recognition of his work on behalf of the company's lender customers, Caspersen was promoted to executive vice president and director of national lenders services in 2000, then to his most recent position as senior executive vice president in May 2004.

Caspersen earned bachelor's degrees in biology and psychology from the University of Colorado, a master's degree in psychology from San Diego State University and a master's in business management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. A native of Oregon, Caspersen currently resides in San Diego with his wife, Coleen, and their children, Ryann and Clark.
