Two Counties in North Star State Begin e-Recording
August 12, 2009
Simplifile recently announced that Blue Earth and Morrison counties in Minnesota have began electronically recording (e-recording) land record documents submitted by title companies, abstractors, banks, and attorneys through the Simplifile e-recording
service.
"In today's changing world of technology, e-recording allows the closing companies, lending institutions, and attorney offices a faster and more economical way of getting their documents to the recorder's office,” said Bunny Johnston, Morrison County Recorder. “As it requires no handling of paper documents, it saves time.”
Patty O’Connor, Blue Earth County Director of Taxpayer Services (Recorder), said Blue Earth County continues to make investments in technology to improve the accuracy and efficiency of all property transactions. She said e-recording will reduce staff processing time while improving service turnarounds.
