Settlement Firm Taps Former LandSafe President as CEO

Boston National Settlement Services LLC, a privately held real estate and mortgage services provider, announced the appointment of Todd C. Baur as president and chief executive officer and member of the board of directors, effective June 8.

Baur brings to the position more than 20 years of combined appraisal, title, collateral risk analytics, collateral automation, flood, and credit operations as well as executive level management experience. Baur most recently led LandSafe, a provider of settlement services and a subsidiary of Bank of America, where he was president and chief operating officer for nearly five years. Baur led LandSafe Closing Services to unprecedented growth, leveraging numerous technology and operational advancements.
Prior to LandSafe, Baur enjoyed an 18-year career with Washington Mutual Bank where he started his career as an appraiser trainee, working his way through the ranks until being named national production manager of appraisal operations. Baur has also held positions as executive vice president and chief administrative officer with other Fortune 500 companies.
