Private Transfer Fees Hinder Transfer of Property, ALTA Board Concludes

The ALTA Board of Governors agreed to engage in stopping private transfer fee covenants because they increase risk for lenders, homeowners, land title professionals and make the transfer of property more costly and less certain.
