MISMO Approves Revised Version 3.0 Candidate Recommendation
December 28, 2010
The MISMO Architecture Committee approved the publication of the revised Version 3.0 Candidate Recommendation 2010-12 on Dec. 2, 2010. The Version 3.0 Candidate Recommendation is currently in its 30-day Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) period, which began on Dec. 8, 2010.
The previous release of Candidate Recommendation V3.0 2010-05 was examined extensively by many organizations. Several errors were discovered during that review, including an incorrect data type associated with a class word. In addition, the names of several data points were modified to conform to the recently adopted 80-character limit for names. These have been corrected and incorporated into this release. A catalogue of all changes made since the previous release is available on the issues log.
Organizations that have downloaded the previous release (2010-05) are strongly encouraged to download the new publication. The Version 3.0 Candidate Recommendation Reference Model and the associated LDD can be downloaded here.
Additionally, the individual MISMO Engineering Guidelines (MEGs) that were used in the design of the reference model and have been approved to date can be found at the bottom of the same page.
A Candidate Recommendation (CR) is a document that MISMO believes has been widely reviewed and satisfies the technical requirements. MISMO publishes a Candidate Recommendation to gather implementation experience.
