GAO Report Addresses Foreclosure Documentation Problems

June 2, 2011

The report does not address false reports of foreclosure problems that could threaten homeowners' legal title, as a group of ALTA members met with GAO officials to share industry practices when insuring a real estate owned transaction and the effect foreclosures have on the process.
