Idaho Title Company Makes Acquisition

Boise, Idaho-based TitleOne announced it has acquired Idaho Title and Trust, one of eastern Idaho’s oldest title companies, bringing its employee-ownership business model to the eastern half of the state.

TitleOne currently operates in Ada, Canyon and Boise counties.

“Idaho Title and Trust has a phenomenal 100-year history, which we anticipate will be a great platform as we expand into Bonneville, Butte and Jefferson Counties,” said Mark Tidd, president of TitleOne Corp. “We’ve built our reputation on innovation and service in the western half of the state, and look forward to serving new customers in eastern Idaho.”

All 12 employees will become part of the TitleOne team, and enjoy the many benefits TitleOne brings to the table, including the opportunity for ownership in the company.

“We look forward to aligning best practices between these two incredible home-grown title and escrow companies,” said Tidd. “There is always something you can learn from others, and I’m confident the process will only make us better.”

The sale and acquisition was motivated by previous owner, Gil Gardner’s planned departure from the title industry.

Idaho Title and Trust currently has two offices, one in downtown Idaho Falls and one in Arco. The company’s hardcopy base files date back to the early 1900s and long term escrow services.

In the past 11 years, TitleOne has won numerous awards for its innovation and people and closed more than 100,000 property transactions.

Since its founding, TitleOne has raised and donated more than $250,000 for Idaho charities.
