ALTA Applauds FHFA Final Rule Limiting Harmful Private Transfer Fees

ALTA's advocacy efforts to prohibit the use of predatory private transfer fees received a significant victory today as the FHFA issued a final rule limiting Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Home Loan Banks from investing in mortgages encumbered by certain types of private transfer fee covenants.
